Thomas Aldana & Sa-Leem Kamarah Earn Weekly Little East Men's Soccer Awards

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College junior forward Sa-Leem Kamarah (Providence, RI) and freshman forward Thomas Aladana (Providence, RI) were recognized by the Little East for their respective performances in a 2-0 week for the men’s soccer team.

Kamarah was named the Little East Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. He scored all three of the Anchormen’s goals, notching his first career hat trick, in a 3-2 win over Eastern Connecticut on Oct. 2. 

For the season, he has played in nine games, starting four of the them. He has four goals for eight points.

Aldana was named the Little East Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. He recorded his first collegiate hat trick with three goals in RIC’s, 4-2, win over Castleton on Oct. 5. 

For the season, he has played in 11 games, starting seven of them. He has four goals for eight points.

Head Coach John Mello’s team is 6-4-1 overall and 3-1 in the Little East. In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host Wheaton on Wednesday, Oct. 9 (6 p.m.).
