Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College freshman second baseman Marissa Cushman (Cranston, RI) was named First Team All-Little East for her performance in softball during the 2019 season.
Cushman played in 32 games, starting 30 of them. She batted .407 (37-for-91) to go along with 35 runs scored, 37 hits, nine doubles, one triple, six home runs, 33 RBI and seven stolen bases. Cushman owned a .725 slugging percentage, a .495 on-base percentage and a .969 fielding percentage.
Cushman was among the LEC leaders in nearly every offensive category, ranking first in runs and slugging percentage, second in homers, third in both RBI and on-base percentage, fifth in batting average, sixth in total bases (66) and was seventh in doubles.
Head Coach Brian Claypool’s team finished the 2019 season with a 17-15 overall record and a 4-10 mark in the Little East.
