Providence, R.I.--Rhode Island College was saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former softball standout Jenna Deveines '11.
Deveines was a All-LEC pitcher on RIC's outstanding softball teams from 2007-10 and was a part of three Little East Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championship teams. She helped the Anchorwomen to three NCAA Div. III Tournament appearances, winning the N.E. Region twice and advancing to the NCAA National Championship Round in both 2007 and 2008.
She appeared in 80 career games, starting 61 of them. Deveines was 43-9 with a 2.28 ERA and 224 strikeouts in 301.0 career inning pitched. She currently ranks fifth in career starts, wins and strikeouts in program history. She also ranks seventh in both innings pitched and ERA.
