Greg Lamanna begins his third season as an assistant softball coach at Rhode Island College. Lamanna assists Head Softball Coach Brian Claypool with all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, administering practice and game coaching.
Lamanna came to RIC after serving at all three levels of NCAA softball, in addition to the junior college and high school ranks. Most recently, he served as assistant coach at Felician College, where he assisted with all defensive and hitting instruction, as well as game strategy. He has also coached at Seton Hall University, Wheaton College, Monmouth University and the County College of Morris.
Lamanna earned an associate’s degree in business administration from the County College of Morris and a bachelor’s degree in history from Farleigh Dickinson. He also earned a master’s degree in athletic administration from Concordia University of California.
He resides in Mystic, Connecticut.
