Cranston, R.I.--Rhode Island college freshman Megan Mahan (North Andover, MA) earned medalist honors with an 85 to lead the women's golf team to a 374-397 win over intra-city rival Johnson & Wales in a dual match played at Alpine Country Club on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Mahan had her second lowest round of the season with an 85 to lead the way for RIC.

• Junior Meghan Rocheleau (Warwick, RI) registered a second place finish with an 89 for the Anchorwomen.

• RIC sophomore Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) finished in fifth place with a 96.

• RIC sophomore Jean Marie Arnold (Westerly, RI) carded a 104, which was good for a six place finish, while classmate Kelsey Hinchliffe (Pascoag, RI) finished in ninth place for the Anchorwomen with a 110.

• In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will host the RIC Spring Invitational at Valley Country Club in Warwick, RI on Sunday, April 15 (1:00 p.m.)
