Providence, R.I.-Rhode Island College senior Eleni Grammas (Cranston, RI), freshman Trinity Hayes (Providence, RI) and the 4x100m relay team were recognized by the Little East for their performance at MIT’s Sean Collier Invitational on April 20.
Grammas was named the Little East Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. She won both the 100m (12.24) and the 200m (25.23), while placing second in the 4x100m relay (48.63).
Hayes was named the Little East Women’s Rookie Track Athlete of the Week. She finished second in the 4x100m relay (48.63), third in the 200m (25.88) and fourth in the 100m (12.60).
Hayes, Grammas, senior Nicole Grammas (Cranston, RI) and junior Emma Landroche (Warwick, RI) were named the Relay Team of the Week. The 4x100m relay placed second (48.63).
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2019 N.E. Alliance/Little East Championship, hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday, April 27.
