HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen faced early pressure from the Seahawks, as the visitors notched four shots in the first 12 minutes.

• After that, both offenses went cold. Salve Regina held the lead in shots, 8-4, at halftime.

• Seahawks sophomore forward Hannah Daniewicz (Preston, Conn.) was awarded a penalty kick after being fouled in the box in the 52nd minute and converted the attempt for her second marker in 2023 and give the visitor's the lead.

• In the 82nd minute, RIC sophomore back Jayde Fernandes (Pawtucket, R.I.) took a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box. Sophomore midfielder Kim Boisvert (Smithfield, R.I.) was able to get a touch on the ball and put it on a tee for McGowan to knot the game at one apiece.

• The Seahawks appeared destined for their third straight tie until the 89th minute when forward Marissa Perachi (Washington Depot, Conn.) made a pass that sprung freshman forward Olivia Tacconi (Waldwick, N.J.) into open space. Tacconi muscled her way between a pair of RIC defenders and her shot found its way into the lower right part of the net to score the game-winning goal.

• Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Nunes (Smithfield, R.I.) made seven saves in her first collegiate start.

• Salve Regina sophomore goalkeeper Reagan Moffat (Denville, N.J.) made four saves in the win (1-0-2).
