HOW IT HAPPENED
• Both teams exchanged shots within the first half, but both defenses and goalkeepers did well in a scoreless first half.
 
• The hosts were able to break through in the 61^st minute as sophomore defender Adriana Adames (Farmingdale, N.Y.) fired a goal into the top right corner for what proved to be the game winner.
 
• RIC put up 10 shots on net compared to the Corsairs' four.
 
• Sophomore midfielder Karol Matamoros (Cranston, R.I.) led the team with three shots, all of which were on target.
 
• Senior goalkeeper Chloe Angelone (Bayville, N.Y.) made three saves in the losing effort (4-7-2).
 
• UMass Dartmouth earned its first Little East win of the year, while the Anchorwomen dropped their third straight league match.
