Brianna Bailey (Windsor, Conn.) hit a two-run single in the sixth inning as the Rhode Island College softball team won the first game of a Little East doubleheader at Plymouth State, 2-1, on Tuesday afternoon.

• The Anchorwomen were held to just two hits all game, with Bailey and freshman left fielder
Melanie Earley (Lumberton, N.J.) as the only two to secure base hits.

• The Panthers scored on an error in the fourth to go up by a run, 1-0, before Bailey gave RIC the lead in the top of the sixth.
