• Freshman Domenick Sousa (Smithfield, R.I.) was dominant and secured a 16-3 major decision to open the match at 125 lbs.
 
• WNE used third-period comebacks in each of the next three matches to build a 9-4 advantage.
 
• The Golden Bears increased their advantage to 17-4 with a pair of major decisions at 157 and 165 lbs.
 
• Fifth-year Aidan Faria (Cumberland, R.I.) was dominant with a 14-3 major decision win at 174 lbs. before WNE sealed the match with a technical fall win at 184 lbs.
 
• Tesher made short work of his opponent at heavyweight with a quick takedown and pin just 41 seconds into the first period to close out the contest.
