• UMB erupted for an 11-2 run just after the 15:00 minute mark of the first half to lead the Anchormen by 11, 21-10.
 
• The Anchormen could not gain any ground on the visitors and would go into the half trailing by 13, 38-25.
 
• The Beacons continued to hit shots as they connected on a little more than half (54 percent) of their shots from the floor during the second stanza.
 
• The hosts would get no closer than 10 points to the visitors for the remainder of the contest as the Anchormen lost for the fifth time in their last six games.

• Senior forward Tyriek Weeks (Warwick, R.I.) posted a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards.
