HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen quickly turned a first set defeat (25-20) into a thrilling second stanza with three kills from both senior middle hitter
Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) and junior pin hitter
Olivia Rollinson (Coventry, R.I.) to win in extra time, 26-24.

• RIC took the lead, 16-14, in the third frame, but the host's, 10-3, run put them ahead two sets to one with a 25-19 win.

• The Anchorwomen dug deep in the fourth and were able to build off of multiple Beacon errors, including three in the last five points, to give RIC a 25-22 win and set up a winner-take-all fifth set.

• Two kills from senior outside hitter
Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) gave the visitors a 7-5 lead, but the hosts thrived in their own environment and took the final set by three, 15-12, to secure their first LEC win of the season.

• Williams finished with 10 kills, while junior defensive specialist
Caroline Morrell (Gorham, Maine) led the defense with 23 digs.
