Rhiannon Hodovanec (Feeding Hills, Mass.) each recorded double-doubles as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team bested Worcester State, 3-0, at The Murray Center on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen took the first set by six, 25-19, to go up, 1-0, in the match.
• The contest turned in the host's favor late in the second stanza. With the Lancers looking to close out the set with a two-point, 24-22, lead, an attack error led to a RIC point and a 5-1 run by the hosts to win, 27-25, and build a 2-0 lead.
• The two clubs were tied, 18-18, in the third set before RIC went on a 7-3 run to win, 25-21, and claim the shutout.
• Murphy had 10 kills, 13 digs and four service aces, while Hodovanec registered 10 kills and 10 digs.
• Sophomore setter
Aubrey St. Onge (Tilton, N.H.) notched 17 assists and 10 digs, while freshman setter
Sydney Green (West Warwick, R.I.) had 13 helpers.
• Worcester State senior outside hitter
Leelle Tyler (Longmeadow, Mass.) put up a match-high 13 kills. Senior libero
Denise Hoxha (Worcester, Mass.) posted 17 digs.
