David Iannicculli (Johnston, R.I.) went 1-for-3 with one double, two RBI and a walk as Rhode Island College downed UMass Dartmouth, 5-3, in Little East baseball action played at Pontarelli Field on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Corsairs took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third as sophomore left fielder
Andrew Bryant (Canton, Mass.) knocked in a pair with a double down the right field line.

• Senior second baseman
Nate Vigeant (Coventry, R.I.) doubled in the home half of the third, moved to third on a passed ball and scored on a wild pitch to pull RIC within a run, 2-1.

• The Anchormen jumped in front in the bottom of the fourth when Iannicculli doubled down the left field line with the bases loaded to put the hosts up by one, 3-2.

• UMD junior designated hitter
Zak Souza (Fall River, Mass.) homered in the sixth to tie the game at three apiece.

Nick D'Ambra (Coventry, R.I.) put the hosts back on top, 4-3, with an RBI ground out in the bottom of the sixth.
