• With the win, UMass Boston claims the outright Little East Conference Regular Season Championship and the homecourt advantage throughout the upcoming Little East Championship.

Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) registered an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles as part of a 2-1 RIC lead after doubles.

• Lisi won at No. 1 singles (6-1, 6-3) to keep her perfect season intact. Senior
Serena Bobola (Cranston, R.I.) also captured a singles win at No. 6 singles (6-3, 6-0).

• UMass Boston was able to gain ground by winning the remaining four singles matches. The clincher was at No. 4 singles, as UMB sophomore
Elena Albano (Haverhill, Mass.) won in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) to secure the victory for the hosts.

• RIC had won the previous 58 matches vs. Little East competition prior to the loss. The Anchorwomen had clinched at least a share of the Little East Regular Season Championship in each of the previous seven seasons.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will be the No. 2 seed in the upcoming 2022 Little East Women's Tennis Championship and host a semifinal match on Thursday, Oct. 20.
