Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) won in straight sets at No. 4 singles to clinch a 5-4 victory for Rhode Island College vs. Salem State in Little East men's tennis action on Saturday afternoon at the RIC Tennis Center.

• Gouin paired with freshman
Zach Siemmao (Wakefield, R.I.) for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles as the hosts took all three in pairs to build a 3-0 advantage.
• Salem State quickly pulled within a point with wins at No. 2 and 1 singles, respectively.
• RIC freshman
Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) picked up his second point of the day with a straight set (6-2, 6-3) win at third singles to bring the hosts within one of securing the team victory.
• Gouin followed with a (7-5, 6-4) win at fourth singles to seal the win. The Vikings took the remaining singles bouts to close out the day.
