Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) tallied 13 digs as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team lost vs. WPI, 3-0, in the middle contest of a tri-match hosted by Connecticut College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Despite four kills by freshman outside hitter
Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.), the Anchorwomen dropped the first set 25-16.

• Marines recorded back-to-back service aces in the second set, but it wasn't enough to wrestle the frame away from the Engineers, who won by a score of 25-18.

• Bailey and junior defensive specialist
Nicole Normandin (Blackstone, Mass.) each recorded six digs in the third stanza, but WPI was able to complete the victory in straight sets by taking the frame, 25-20.
