HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC led, 15-13, midway through the first set and the frame was tied, 16-16, before the visitors closed out the stanza on a 9-6 run to win by three, 25-22.

• The Beacons took the second set, 25-21, and held off a competitive run by the Anchorwomen in the decisive third frame to win by the identical score en route to picking up their first Little East victory of the year.

Yuleisy Alvelo (Springfield, Mass.) and
Paula Pesoa (Johnston, R.I.) combined for 22 assists with 13 and nine, respectively.
