Anchormen Fall at Eastern Connecticut, 82-54

Willimantic, Conn.--Junior center Ousmane Kourouma (Woonsocket, R.I.) earned another double-double as the Rhode Island College men's basketball team was handled by Eastern Connecticut State, 82-54, in Little East action on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC was in control through the first four minutes of the contest, jumping out to an 11-2 lead. ECSU then outscored the Anchormen, 37-16, over the rest of the half to take the lead, 39-27, at halftime.
 
• The Warriors buried the Anchormen early, outsourcing them, 26-11, between the 19-minute mark until the six-minute mark in the second half to complete the season sweep vs. RIC.
 
• Kourouma had 11 points and 11 rebounds with three blocks before fouling out.
 
• ECSU was led by senior guard Jalen Williams (Simsbury, Conn.) and his 21 points, while freshman guard Dominik Dao (Terryville, Conn.) chipped in with 19 points.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East action at home vs. UMass Boston on Saturday, Feb. 11 (3 p.m.).
