Sean Helrich (Saunderstown, R.I.) homered and drove in three runs as the Rhode Island College baseball team lost, 7-6, vs. No. 5 Baldwin Wallace at the Snowbird Invitational on Saturday morning.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The RIC bats came out swinging early in the first inning as junior center fielder
Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) got on base and was driven in on a double by sophomore first baseman
Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.).

• Trzepacz was then singled home by junior third baseman
Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.), who then scored after the Helfrich blast. The first four hitters of the game all came around to score to put Anchormen up. 4-0.

• Helfrich was able to bring in Santerre on a sacrifice fly in the second inning, expanding the RIC advantage to 5-0.

• It took until the fourth inning for the Yellow Jackets to tag the Anchormen for a few runs. BWU collected three runs in the inning, with two coming on a home run by senior first baseman

Andrew Parker (Toledo, Ohio) tied up the ballgame, 6-6, with a three-run shot. The Yellow Jackets singled in the game-winning run later in the inning.

Shaun Gamelin (North Kingston, R.I.) was dominant again, allowing three runs over seven innings of work and striking out 13 batters. Junior pitcher
Terry Murray (Norfolk, Mass.) suffered the loss (0-1).
