Ellington, Conn.--Freshman Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) and senior Nate Chhim (Tiverton, R.I.) tied for third overall as Rhode Island College finished third (six teams) at the Eastern Connecticut Spring Invitational, played at Ellington Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished in third place (six teams) with a team score of 339. Eastern Connecticut won the meet (322) and Salem State finished second (338), one stroke ahead of the Anchormen.
