Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College junior designated hitter Cole Podedworny (Wakefield, R.I.) went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI as Rhode Island College defeated Suffolk, 10-2, in game one of a doubleheader played at Pontarelli Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen put four runs across in the fifth, paced by a Podedworny three-run bomb, to open the game's scoring.
 
• After the visitors plated one in the sixth, the hosts put the game away with a six-run effort in the bottom of the frame. Junior third baseman Cal Parrillo (Greenville, R.I.) and senior left fielder Joey Coro (North Providence, R.I.) each smacked two-run singles in the stanza.
 
• Junior pitcher Terry Murray (Norfolk, Mass.) went seven innings, allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out nine, to earn his fifth win (5-1) of the season.
 
• Parrillo went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI. Junior center fielder Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) went 2-for-3 and scored twice.
