HOW IT HAPPENED
• It was an evenly matched affair in the first set until the very end, with no team having a lead larger than three, when the Saints went up by four, 23-19. The Anchorwomen erupted for a 6-0 run to take the set by two, 25-23.

• Emmanuel was dominant in the second set, soaring out to a 17-2 lead. They would eventually win the set, 25-9.

• The two teams traded blows in the third set all the way until the score was tied, 23-23. Emmanuel sophomore outside hitter
Isabella Marquez (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) got the final kill of the stanza to take it for the visitors, 25-23.

• The Anchorwomen would respond in the fourth set, going on a 7-1 run to take a 20-17 lead. Kills by junior middle blocker

Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) allowed RIC to win the set by six, 25-19.

• Marquez would continue her prowess in the fifth set, recording two kills and an ace as Emmanuel won the deciding frame, 15-11, to secure the 3-2 victory.
