Westfield, Mass.--Sophomore Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) shot a team best 77 as the Rhode Island College men's golf team finished ninth (10 teams) at the Brett Williamson Invitational, hosted by Westfield State on Wednesday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished ninth (10 teams) with a team score of 364. Eastern Connecticut won the meet with a team score of 315.
 
• The meet was held at Tekoa Country Club, which was a par-71 and measured 6,448 yards.
 
• 50 golfers competed at the invitational.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) finished with a 93.
 
• Freshman Max Nasser (Middletown, R.I.) shot a 95.
 
• Senior Noah Weik (Litchfield, Conn.) recorded a 99.
 
• Sophomore Nathan Evans (Cranston, R.I.) shot a 102.
