Hingham, Mass.—Sophomore
Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) fired a team-best 78 and placed third overall as Rhode Island College finished second (four teams) at the Emmanuel Invitational played at South Shore Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished second (four teams) with a team score of 344. Albertus Magnus finished first (318), followed by the Anchormen, Emmanuel (349) and Mitchell (369).
• The meet was held at South Shore Country Club, which was a par-72 and measured 6,270 yards.
• 20 golfers competed at the event
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior
Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) carded an 83 and finished tied for seventh.
• Sophomore
Kyle Cullen (Glocester, R.I.) finished with a 91 and tied for 12th.
• Freshman
Max Nasser (Middletown, R.I.) shot a 92 and tied for 15th.
• Senior
Noah Weik (Litchfield, Conn.) carded a 101 and finished 18th.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the 2023 Little East Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Southern Maine at Riverside Golf Course, on Oct. 5-6.
