Keene, N.H.--Junior Jasper Bruins Slot (Scituate, R.I.) earned Second Team All Little East Honors and placed seventh as Rhode Island College finished sixth (six teams) at the 2024 Little East Men's Golf Championship, hosted by Keene State at Keene Country Club on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished sixth (six teams) with a team score of 656 (328, 328).
 
• Southern Maine won the league title (597; 282, 315), followed by Eastern Connecticut (600; 297, 303), Western Connecticut (630; 316, 314), VTSU Castleton (646; 322, 324), Keene State (652; 328, 324).
 
• The championship was held at Keene Country Club, which is a par-71 and measured 6,360 yards.
 
• 30 golfers competed at the championship.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Bruins Slot placed seventh with a score of 152 (76, 76; +10).
 
• Senior Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) finished in a tie for 11^th with a 158 (79, 79; +16). Mello finished one spot shy of earning All-Little East honors.
