HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the first stanza, RIC got off to a great start as sophomore outside hitter Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) tallied six of her team-high 15 kills in the frame. The Anchorwomen would take the set by five, 25-20.

• RIC got out to an early lead, 7-4, off a Hawk error in the second set, but the visitors were able to conjure the momentum to win the stanza by eight, 25-17.

• RWU would use the second frame as a foundation, taking the third set, 25-18, as an Anchorwomen attack error would close it out.

• The fourth set was dominated by the Hawks, thanks to senior setter Ava Mattiucci (North Kingstown, R.I.) who tallied a double-double with 50 assists and 10 digs.

• It was Alvelo's 10th double-double of the season. Sophomore defensive specialist Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) racked up a team-high 18 digs.
