Providence, R.I.—Sophomore setter
Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) notched a double-double with 31 assists and 15 digs as the Anchorwomen lost, 3-1, vs. Roger Williams at The Murray Center on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• In the first stanza, RIC got off to a great start as sophomore outside hitter
Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) tallied six of her team-high 15 kills in the frame. The Anchorwomen would take the set by five, 25-20.
• RIC got out to an early lead, 7-4, off a Hawk error in the second set, but the visitors were able to conjure the momentum to win the stanza by eight, 25-17.
• RWU would use the second frame as a foundation, taking the third set, 25-18, as an Anchorwomen attack error would close it out.
• The fourth set was dominated by the Hawks, thanks to senior setter
Ava Mattiucci (North Kingstown, R.I.) who tallied a double-double with 50 assists and 10 digs.
• It was Alvelo's 10th double-double of the season. Sophomore defensive specialist
Carolyn Bailey (Ipswich, Mass.) racked up a team-high 18 digs.
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East action at Keene State on Saturday, Nov. 2 (noon). The Anchorwomen will also face New England College at KSC (2 p.m.).
