Gorham, Maine--Sophomore Brandon Mota (West Warwick, R.I.) earned Second Team All-Little East honors with a second place finish in the weight throw (16.01m) Rhode Island College finished sixth (eight teams) at the 2024 Little East Men's Indoor Track and Field Championship, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College finished in sixth place (eight teams) with a team score of 35.0. Southern Maine won the championship with a team score of 145.0
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sophomore Shamus Culhane (North Kingstown, R.I.) earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the weight throw (15.28m).
 
• Freshman Alexander Pinheiro (Warwick, R.I.) earned Third Team All-Little East honors with third place finishes in both the 55m (6.61) and 4x200m relay (1:32.71; new program record).


 
• Freshman Gabriel Dosunmu (Providence, R.I.) earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the 4x200m relay (1:32.71; new program record) and was fourth in the long jump (6.76m).
 
• Freshman Will Schiller (Smithfield, R.I.) earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the 4x200m relay (1:32.71; new program record) and was eighth in the 400m (53.50) and 11^th in the 200m (23.92).
 
• Sophomore Isiah Briggs (Providence, R.I.) earned Third Team All-Little East honors with a third place finish in the 4x200m relay (1:32.71; new program record).


 
• Senior Christopher McCarthy (Cranston, R.I.) finished fifth in the weight throw (13.27m).
 
• Junior Garrett Jones (Beacon Falls, Conn.) finished sixth in the triple jump (12.69m) and 14^th in the long jump (6.13m).
 
• Sophomore Benjamin Lockwood (Saunderstown, R.I.) finished sixth in the 4x800 relay (9:08.90) and seventh in the 1,000m (2:42.12).
 
• Freshman Giovani Monteiro (North Providence, R.I.) finished sixth in the 4x800 relay (9:08.90) and 15^th in the 400m (55.68).
 
• Freshman Hussein Niyonkuru (Providence, R.I.) finished sixth in the 4x800 relay (9:08.90).
 
• Freshman Giovanni Alves (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished sixth in the 4x800 relay (9:08.90).
 
• Sophomore Jaden Saunders (Smithfield, R.I.) finished sixth in the high jump (1.90m), seventh in the triple jump (12.60m) and 10^th in the long jump (6.34m).
 
• Freshman Andrew Frezza (Johnston, R.I.) finished seventh in the 5,000m (16:23.49).
 
• Freshman Kensley Cadet (Providence, R.I.) finished ninth in the 800m (2:18.39).
 
• Freshman Trevor Morgan (Smithfield, R.I.) finished 11^th in the weight throw (12.57m).
