Daniel Trzepacz (Mont Vernon, N.H.) went 2-for-4 with a run scored, three RBI and a pair of doubles as Rhode Island College took game one, 5-3, from Skidmore in a doubleheader played at Terry Park Stadium in Gene Cusic Classic action on Wednesday afternoon.

• The Anchormen took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second as sophomore second baseman
Lucas McElroy (Westport, Mass.) singled in a run and scored on a Trzepacz RBI double.
• RIC snapped a 2-2 deadlock in the sixth as Trzepacz doubled in a pair and senior right fielder
Sean Helfrich (Saunderstown, R.I.) brought him in with an RBI single.
• Junior reliever
Harrison Mansfield (Uxbridge, Mass.) earned the win (1-0), allowing just one unearned run on one hit, in three innings out of the bullpen.
