Anchormen Wrap Up Indoor Campaign at NEICAAA Championship

Boston, Mass.--Sophomore Shamus Culhane (North Kingstown, R.I.) finished 11th in the weight throw (15.95m) as the Rhode Island College men's track & field team concluded the indoor portion of their schedule at the 2024 NEICAAA Championship, held at The Track at New Balance on Friday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College did not score as a team. The University of Rhode Island is currently in first place with a team score of 44.0 after the first day of competition.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sophomore Benjamin Lockwood (Saunderstown, R.I.) finished 12th in the 1,000m (2:40.74).
 
• Sophomore Brandon Mota (West Warwick, R.I.) finished 21st in the weight throw (14.92m).
 
• Freshman Gabriel Dosunmu (Providence, R.I.) finished 23rd in the long jump (6.00m)
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will open the outdoor portion of their schedule at Bryant's Black and Gold Invitational on Friday and Saturday, March 29-30.
