Rhode Island College (20-5, 14-2 LEC)
Keene State (17-8, 11-5 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC built a 14-5 lead within the first five minutes of the game, but it was not enough to hold off a 17-3 push from the hosts to end the quarter trailing by eight, 30-22.

• The Anchorwomen held the Owls to just 15 percent shooting from the field in the second stanza and did not give up any points by the hosts over the final three minutes of the half.

• Schuermann and freshman forward Eva Monahan (Woodstock, Conn.) combined for 18 points in the first half, but KSC led by two, 36-34, after 20 minutes.

• Junior guard Maggie McKitchen (Seekonk, Mass.) went on her own, 8-2, run with a pair of triples in less than two minutes during the third frame to boost the Anchorwomen into the lead, 59-48, with 10 minutes to play.

• The Owls would go on an 8-0 run to begin the fourth quarter, but RIC's defense would hold on, forcing key turnovers in the final minutes, to secure the win.

• Monahan registered a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards and sophomore guard Shalyn Smith (Middletown, Conn.) equaled her effort with 12 points of her own.

• McKitchen ended the day with 11 points.

• The Anchorwomen closed out the regular season with their 10th consecutive win.
