Boston, Mass.--Senior Brandon Mota (West Warwick, R.I.) posted a season-best throw in the weight throw to headline the Rhode Island College men's track and field team as they competed at UMass Lowell's Riverhawk Invitational, held at The Track at New Balance on Saturday.
 
THE BASICS
• This was an individual meet with no team scoring. The field of teams featured mostly Div. I and Div. II competition.
 
THE TOP PERFORMERS
• Mota finished eighth in the weight throw (17.00m). 
 
• Freshman Maycol Reynoso (Providence, R.I.) finished 13th in the 200m open (22.40; personal best) and 16th in the 60m preliminaries (7.01; personal best).
 
• Freshman Tyler Boudreau (Warwick, R.I.) finished 17th in the 800m (1:57.15).
 
• Sophomore Jack McEntee (Foster, R.I.) finished 28th in the 400m invite (50.79) and 44th in the 60m hurdles preliminaries (9.19).

• Junior Andrew Frezza (Johnston, R.I.) finished 39th in the 3,000m (8:54.35; personal best).

• Sophomore Aiden Fitzgerald (Cumberland, R.I.) finished sixth in the shot open (12.95m).
 
• Junior Trevor Morgan (Smithfield, R.I.) finished ninth in the weight throw open (13.52m) and 30th in the shot open (9.83m).
 
• Freshman Marcos Ruiz Uben (Westerly, R.I.) finished 12th in the 400m open (51.42) and 32nd in the 60m hurdle preliminaries (8.98).
 
• Junior Enrique Edjang (Providence, R.I.) finished 14th in the weight throw invite (15.75m).
 
• Sophomore Joshua Dabanka (Providence, R.I.) finished 18th in the long jump (12.89m) and 20th in the long jump invite (6.13m).
