Lily Nees (Rehoboth, Mass.) buried three goals and caused three turnovers as Rhode Island College fell vs. Salve Regina, 15-5, at Gaudet Field on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Nees netted two goals in the opening 15 minutes, but it was not enough to stop the Seahawks offense as the hosts held the lead at the end, 3-2.
• Salve Regina then closed out the first half by shutting out the visitors, while also posting seven goals, to hold a 10-2 lead at the break.

Brie Macaruso (Ashaway, R.I.) shot home a pair of goals in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough to build a comeback.
•The hosts poured on four more goals in the third and added one more in the final frame.

Giana Franco (Salem, Conn.) made a career-high 16 saves in the defeat (0-1).
