Brianna Bailey (Windsor, Conn.) broke a 5-5 deadlock in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run triple as Rhode Island College capped its trip to Florida with a 9-5 win over Curry at Legends Way on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC put four across in the home half of the first, keyed by a two-run double by Bailey.
• The Colonels evened the game at 5-5 with a three-run fourth and the game remained deadlocked until the sixth.
• Bailey tripled in a pair, junior left fielder
Melanie Earley (Lumberton, N.J.) knocked in one with an infield single and junior shortstop
Joey Meyer (South Milwaukee, Wis.) capped the frame with an RBI single.

Ashleigh von der Linden (Stratham, N.H.) came on in relief to earn her second (2-1) win, allowing no runs on two hits to go along with four strikeouts in 3.1 innings of work.
• Earley went 4-for-4 with two runs scored, a double, a homer and three RBI.
• Bailey went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a double, one triple and four RBI.
