Gabby Cunha (Cranston, R.I.) and her team's defense was stellar through five innings until the Hawks plated a pair in the sixth frame to take the lead, 2-0.

• The Anchorwomen tried to comeback in the seventh as Earley tripled and was brought in by sophomore first baseman
Jillian Guilfoyle (Derby, Conn.) to climb within a run, but the Hawks held on for the win.
