Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College junior guard Abby Wager (Mansfield, Mass.) was named Third Team All-Region by the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) for her performance during the 2025-26 season.
 
Wager was previously named Second Team All-Region 2 by D3hoops.com, the Little East Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Little East and to the league's All-Defensive Team.
 
She played in 26 games, starting all of them. Wager averaged 14.2 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.1 bpg and 1.9 spg.
 
She racked up 29 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and four blocks in a 70-62 win vs. Southern Maine on Feb. 4. Wager posted 28 points, three boards and seven steals in a 77-66 loss at Brandeis on Nov. 13. She registered 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in a 76-31 win over Plymouth State on Jan. 24. Wager was named the Little East Player of the Week twice on the season. She was selected as the New England Women's Basketball Association's (NEWBA) Player of the Week once.
 
Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove's team finished the 2025-26 season with a 21-6 overall record and a 14-2 (second place) mark in the Little East.
