Gabrielle Sweeney (Shirley, Mass.) went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI and a run scored as Rhode Island College took down Wheaton, 6-3, in the first game of a doubleheader played at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Tuesday evening.

• The Lyons got a quick three-run jump on the hosts in the opening frame thanks to a deep double to left field.Â
