HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sweeney put RIC on the board 4:16 into the game, but the lead was short-lived as the Colonels evened the contest less than a minute later.

• After Curry went up, 2-1, Sweeney tied the game with 3:56 left to play in the opening quarter. The Colonels found the back of the net with five seconds left to hold a 3-2 advantage heading into the second quarter.

Lily Nees (Rehoboth, Mass.) made it a 3-3 deadlock early in the second stanza, but the Anchorwomen surrendered the lead just 41 seconds later and went into halftime down by a goal, 4-3.
