Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College freshman sprinter
Marcos Ruiz Uben (Westerly, R.I.) was named the Little East Men's Rookie Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at Bryant's Ocean State Cup on April 5.
It is the second time this spring that he has received this award.
He finished second in the 110m hurdles (15.62) and third in the 400m hurdles (55.08).
The Anchorwomen and Anchormen combined to finish fourth (seven teams) with a team score of 76.0 URI combined for 509.5 points to win the meet. RIC was the highest-finishing Div. III institution at the meet, trailing only three Div. I programs.
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at Southern New Hampshire's Ed Daniels Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
