Grace Aukerman (Ashford, Conn.) led Rhode Island College with five shots, but Anchorwomen fell, 1-0, vs. VTSU Castleton in Little East action played at Alumni Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The visitors scored an impromptu goal in the 19
th minute off a corner kick, which caught the Anchorwomen off guard in the box.
• The hosts were able to control possession for the rest of the match, and despite several blue chip opportunities by both Aukerman and sophomore midfielder
Caitlyn Terceiro (Warren, R.I.), RIC was unable to net the equalizer.
• As the second half started with the hosts down, 1-0, Aukerman immediately found opportunities for scoring with a pair of shots in the opening 10 minutes, but were both denied and off-target.
• RIC held a commanding, 20-4, advantage in shots and shots on goal, 6-1, but came up empty.

Oceanna Orlandi (East Greenwich, R.I.) was dealt the loss (7-6).
