Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College junior guard Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) was named the Little East Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week for her performance in a 73-44 win over VTSU Castleton on Dec. 13.

She had 26 points, six rebounds, two blocks and a steal in the win over the Spartans.

Schuermann has played in 10 games, starting all of them. She is averaging 15.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.3 bpg and 2.2 spg.

Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove's team is 8-2 overall and 3-0 in the Little East.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Coast Guard on Saturday, Dec. 20 (1 p.m.).
