HOW IT HAPPENED
• Freshman guard
Kyle Prete (North Providence, R.I.) found a rhythm for the Anchormen early as he drained a trio of triples and ended the first half as the game's leading scorer with 13 points.
Â
• Despite positive first half performances from both Prete and Bom, RIC trailed, 39-33, at the break.
Â
• The Mules recorded their largest lead of the game in the second half, 57-42, with 14 minutes left to play.Â
Â
• The Anchormen cut their deficit to down to five, 60-55, but hot shooting from Colby down the stretch sealed the Anchormen's fate as the hosts fell at home for just second time this season.
• Prete equaled Bom's effort with 15 points, while senior forward
Tyriek Weeks (Warwick, R.I.) posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 points.
