Box Score Providence, R.I.—Junior guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, MA) led the Rhode Island College women's basketball team with 11 points to go along with six rebounds and three assists as the Anchorwomen defeated Keene State College, 72-38, in Little East action played at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The first quarter began slowly for the Anchorwomen as they trailed for the majority of the stanza. RIC took the lead, 12-10, on a pair of free throws by senior forward Fataya Larry (Brooklyn, NY) with 13 seconds left in the quarter.
• The Anchorwomen opened the second quarter on a 9-0 run before the media timeout at the 7:59 mark and held a nine-point lead, 19-10.
• Tough defense by the Anchorwomen held the Owls off the scoreboard for the entire second quarter as the hosts poured in 27 points to take a decisive, 39-10, lead into the halftime intermission.
• RIC shot 53 percent (16-for-30) from the field and held KSC to 18 percent (4-for-22) shooting from the field over the first 20 minutes.
• The Anchorwomen picked up right where they left off to begin the third frame by building a 45-11 lead into the media timeout at the 4:59 mark.
• At the end of three quarters of play RIC led by 44, 58-14.
• Both teams went back and forth in the final frame, but the Anchorwomen closed out the Owls by 34, to stay unbeaten in league play
• RIC extended its winning streak to 10 games with the win.
• Larry finished with six points and six rebounds. Sophomore center Willcia McBorrough (Providence, RI) added nine points, nine rebounds and a block. Senior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) chipped in with nine points, four rebounds and four steals.
• KSC senior forward Lilly Shlimon (Pelham, NH) led the Owls with 14 points, three rebounds and one assist.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 55 percent (29-for-53) from the field, 46 percent (6-for-13) from three-point land and 67 percent (8-for-12) from the foul line.
• KSC shot 28 percent (13-for-47) from the field, 33 percent (6-for-18) from three-point territory and 40 percent (6-for-15) from the foul line.
• RIC controlled the glass with a 43-21 advantage and outscored KSC in the paint, 34-10.
