HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC stormed out to a 14-4 lead in the first set thanks to a couple of kills by junior middle blocker
Megan Philbrick (Johnston, R.I.). Attacking miscues by Dean allowed the Anchorwomen to win the set easily, 25-15.

• Dean looked to respond by jumping out to a 7-1 lead to start the second stanza. RIC later went on a 5-0 run to take a 12-10 lead. The hosts kept the momentum to vault their way to a 25-19 victory in the set.

• The third set was primarily dominated by RIC, which at one point led by 10, 18-8. Dean attempted to mount a comeback by going on a 12-5 run, but fell short as the Anchorwomen took the stanza by four 25-21 to win in straight sets.
