HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen found themselves down, 19-11, in the first set. A 7-0 run helped RIC battle back, thanks to two service aces by junior middle blocker
Megan Philbrick (Johnston, R.I.). The hosts were able to hang on and win by three, 25-22.

• The Bears were able to double down in the second set, as back-to-back aces from
Xin Ai Robinson (Evans Mills, N.Y.) pushed Bridgewater State to win the set, 25-20.

• The Anchorwomen were able to show some pushback with a couple of kills by sophomore middle blocker
Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) as RIC got a set under their belt with a 25-20 win in the third stanza.

• The Bears were able to seal the deal with two kills by senior outside hitter
Abigail Reardon (Fairhaven, Mass.) in the fourth frame to win by two, 25-23.
