Providence, R.I.—Sophomore setter
Yuleisy Alvelo (San Juan, Puerto Rico) recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 30 assists and 17 digs as the Anchorwomen lost, 3-1, vs. in-state rival Salve Regina at the Murray Center on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC went up three, 20-17, in the opening set after a kill by freshman
Olivia Rollinson (Coventry, R.I.), but the visitors ripped off eight straight points to win the frame.
• RIC knotted the second set at 16, but SRU went on a 9-1 run to win the frame and build a commanding, 2-0, lead.
• With the Seahawks working in six subs during the third set, RIC went ahead, 11-10, on an Alvelo ace and never looked back in a 25-17 decision to pull within a set, 2-1.
• In the pivotal fourth set, junior middle hitter
Andrayah Williams (North Providence, R.I.) tied the stanza at 23-all with a kill. The Seahawks were able to hold off the Anchorwomen's comeback bid with a kill and a RIC attack error to secure the win, 25-23.
• Salve Regina were led by junior opposite hitter
Lauren Hoyle (Albany, N.Y.) who racked up a game-high 24 kills on a .477 hitting percentage as the Seahawks snapped their three-game losing streak.
• Rollinson and sophomore outside hitter
Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) led the Anchorwomen with 10 kills apiece.
