Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior Erica Botelho (Greenville, R.I.) and sophomore Haylie Peacock (West Gardiner, Maine) were named the Little East Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Year, freshman Faith Owren (Richmond, R.I.) was named the Little East Rookie of the Year, Head Coach Adam Spring was named the Coach of the Year as Rhode Island College dominated the conference's major awards for their respective performances during the 2025 season.
Peacock was named the LEC's Doubles Team of the Year, while also earning First Team All-Little East honors in both singles and doubles. She is currently 14-0 at No. 2 singles and 13-1 at No. 1 doubles on the season.
Botelho was named the LEC's Doubles Team of the Year, while also earning First Team All-Little East honors in both singles and doubles. She is currently 14-1 at No. 3 singles and 14-1 at No. 1 doubles on the season.
Sophomore Arianna De Thomas (Providence, R.I.) was named First Team All-Little East in singles and Second Team All-Little East in doubles. She is currently 12-2 at No. 1 singles and 14-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Sophomore Emilia Houwers (Whitewater, Wis.) was named Second Team All-Little East in both singles and doubles. She is currently 14-1 at No. 4 singles and 14-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Owren was named the Little East Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Little East in singles. She is currently 13-0 at No. 5 singles and 7-3 at No. 3 doubles.
Senior Li hsiu Hou (Kingston, R.I.) was named to the Little East Women's Tennis Sportsmanship Team. She is currently 9-2 at No. 6 singles.
Spring was named the Little East Women's Tennis Coach of the Year for the eighth time in his career after leading the Anchorwomen to the league's Regular Season and Tournament Championships. RIC is currently 15-0 overall and was 8-0 (first place) in the conference during the regular season.
The No. 1-seeded Anchorwomen downed No. 4-seeded UMass Dartmouth, 4-0, in the semifinals of the LEC Championship on Oct. 23 and won the title with a 4-2 win over No. 3-seeded UMass Boston in the finals on Oct. 25. With the win, RIC secured a berth in the upcoming 2026 NCAA Div. III Women's Tennis Championship, which begins in May.
