Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) scored her 1,000
th career point as Rhode Island College won, 56-47, at Plymouth State in Little East action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Medbury went into the game needing just two points to reach the 1,000-career point milestone and she converted a driving layup with 6:58 left in the first quarter to achieve the milestone.
• Despite trailing early, the visitors went on a run to build a six-point, 18-12, lead after one quarter of play.
• PSU climbed within two points, 20-18, of the Anchorwomen with 6:34 left in the second half, but RIC quickly piled up the points to lead by nine and then six, 33-27, at halftime.
• In the third quarter, the Panthers chipped away at RIC's lead and eventually overtook the Anchorwomen, 40-39, with two minutes left.
• The game was tied, 44-44, with eight minutes left to play before RIC outscored PSU, 12-3, over the rest of the game to secure the win.
• Medbury finished with 16 points and four assists.

Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) registered 11 points and seven rebounds, while sophomore forward
Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 boards.
