Noelle Simmons Named Little East Softball Co-Player of the Week

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior second baseman Noelle Simmons (Goffstown, N.H.) was named the Little East Softball Co-Player of the Week for her performance in a 5-1 week for the Anchorwomen.
 
Simmons played in six games, starting five of them, as the Anchorwomen closed out their spring trip to Florida. She batted .556 (10-for-18) with 12 runs scored, 10 hits, two doubles, two triples, six RBI and a stolen base.
 
For the season, Simmons has played in 10 games, starting nine of them. She is batting .387 (12-for-31) with 15 runs scored, two doubles, three triples, seven RBI and two stolen bases. Simmons owns a .645 slugging percentage, a .472 on-base percentage and a 1.000 fielding percentage.
 
Head Coach Lauren Hatfield's team is 8-2 on the season.
 
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at doubleheader at home vs. Simmons on Wednesday, March 18 (4 p.m.).
