Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College sophomore
Travis Chartier (Rehoboth, Mass.) and freshman
John Vaughan (East Providence, R.I.) were recognized for their respective performances in the club's, 7-0, win over Hartford to kick off the spring semester on Sunday afternoon.
Chartier was named the Little East Men's Tennis Player of the Week. He paired with sophomore
Kyle Neuendorf (Attleboro, Mass.) for a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles, then won in straight sets (6-3, 6-1) at No. 1 singles.
For the season, Chartier is 2-1 at No. 1 singles and 1-2 at No. 1 doubles.
Vaughan was named the Little East Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week. He paired with senior
Sairaj Srinivasan (Cedar Grove, N.J.) for a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles, then clinched the match with a straight set (6-2, 6-2) win at fourth singles.
For the season, Vaughan is 1-0 at No. 4 singles and 1-1 in doubles action.
